Since 'Your Eyes Are Made Of Gold' came out I've schlepped through 8 countries and met some incredible, wonderful, beautiful people.  And now I plan to finish the Peace, Love & Tea Tour just down the road from my place of birth in Nottingham City Centre.  I hope you'll all come out for a special big FREE show at the Contemporary in the Lace Market in Nottingham Saturday 18th April !!!



In Other News ...

I've started recording some new material to follow some low-key releases you'll hear about this summer ... my next single will be called 'Easier' and I'm sure you'll love it, you can sing along and I hope you will do from Autumn through Christmas and into the new year !!

Along with some lovely verication on spotify and pinterest I've been added to the litergy of Beautiful People on wikipedia and Famous Birthdays (?) by some Beautiful Soul or another !!  Spread The Love, eh?

March 2015 has come around pretty quick, and I'm sure you're all exhausted from celebrating St. David's Day this Sunday !!  All Five and a half Thousand of you !!  You Beautiful Souls, thanks for sticking with me and keeping in touch, we've loads to catch up on ...

EUROPEAN TOUR, AWARDS & 6 MONTHS ON THE ROAD ...

It seems like ages since last September when I released 'Your Eyes Are Made Of Gold' and it went Top 30 on iTunes, I've played all over the UK, done a 5 week stint in Northern Europe and been nominated for some awards, I'm now embarking on a month long return leg around England, Scotland & Wales (scroll down for all the dates) and have a couple of new releases and festival dates planned for the summer, plus I'll be in the studio with the chappy who produced Frank Turner's 'England Keep My Bones' album preparing something new for later in the year.



Look out for a special big FREE show announcement in Nottingham in mid-April !!!

I was down in London last week and collected a medal for 'Your Eyes Are Made Of Gold' which was up for Best EP 2014 at the Galaxy Music Awards, sporting my weaved cardboard bow tie and pocket square, generously donated by the good people at Grey House England.  And this next month I'll be in Birmingham to see if I win Best Male 2015 at the inaugral Midlands Independent Music Awards (The MIMAs) ... wish me luck !



In other pleasing news, along with spotify, soundcloud and a whole host of other places you can find my music, all of my simple minimalist "title videos" on YouTube from my official EP releases have reached well over 1000 views each, some into the 10000s, thanking you all massively for that, keep listening and go over and give the latest upload a listen 'Stop Me Girl' right this second and download it NOW !!

Awards Season for Matt Henshaw

Forget the #Oscars, it's awards season for me too ! I've been nominated for a couple whilst I was away in Europe ...

This Thursday night I'll be down in London for the Galaxy Music Awards, 'Your Eyes Are Made Of Gold' is up for Best EP of 2014 ...

And then next month, Friday 13th March, unlucky for some, I'm up for Best Solo Male at the MIMAs (Midlands Independent Music Awards), and as the only representative from the East Midlands heading over to Brum I hope I can count on some support from my homelands !!

Anyways, this is a prototype bow tie and pocket square combo gifted to me by Grey House England ... go follow and Like everything over there, it's ALL cardboard, renewable and impeccably designed, Spread The Love ! (I like it because it's tea coloured ...)

What a busy 6 months ...

Wow, what a busy 6 months I've just had !! Here's a handy little map to illustrate all the places I have been and played in the last half a year !

A massive big thank you to everyone who's made it possible, to everyone who came out to see me, bought something from the Peace, Love & Tea Shop and helped make 'Your Eyes Are Made Of Gold' a Top 30 record ! And it's not over yet ...

I'm currently plotting a little "Welcome Home" leg around the UK through March - so if you want me to come and play for you, get in touch, and if the logistics are right, I'll be there - and I'll be playing some special shows in Leicester and Nottingham at some point this Spring ...

... and I'm heading into the studio very soon to to record some new stuff to go with my planned upcoming releases this Summer, and here's to another busy festival season just around the corner !!

This is me after around 200 shows this year, I'm all ready to head out to Europe and embrace all things continental !!

Aside from the music, I do like sharing positivity with you all, and I firmly believe that what you put in your body directly affects what comes out ... I was talking to a friend / fan / wonderful being yesterday, and she said that she'll be filling stockings with fruit and vegetables for her two kids !!  "Amazing", I thought ... but, I understand, you might not want to practice such a creative form of child abuse this Christmas, but I do hope you're all gonna get your 5, 7, 10, 12-a-day amongst whatever else might be heading down your gullet as we go on into the new year ...
